Question 1: Who will be teaching me?

Your instructor is yours truly, Stephanie Heslep, and I'm a Certified AI Technician since 2013. I've taught this same training to over 1,000 students, most of whom had never handled cattle before. I know exactly where people hesitate, what to expect, and how to make sure you walk away knowing exactly what to do if you were on your own.

Question 2: Will I actually get to practice on live cows?

Yes. Both days include live, guided practice sessions so you understand what correct placement and timing feel like, not just what they look like.

Question 3: Do I need prior experience?

No. This training is beginner-friendly. You’ll learn the entire process step-by-step before doing it yourself.

Question 4: Will I work with live animals?

Yes — you’ll get hands-on practice with real cows both days, under close supervision.

Question 5: Do I need to bring anything?

Just barn clothes and boots. We provide gloves, tools, and all training materials.

Question 6: Is lunch included?

Yes, lunch is provided on Day 1.

Question 7: Where does this take place?

Kreider Dairy Farms, Quarryville, Pennsylvania — a full working dairy with all facilities on-site.

Question 8: How many people are in each session?

It will be one group of 15 people over both days to make sure everyone gets hands-on experience.

Question 9: What happens after I register?

You’ll receive a confirmation email, release form, and access to the HCC AI Manual (PDF).

Question 10: What if I pay but get sick or can’t attend?

Life happens. If you can’t make it due to illness or an emergency, you’ll have two options:

1 - Transfer your spot to a future training date at no extra cost, or
